Duck Lake

The Town of Duck Lake Lion’s Community Park received a much-needed revitalization. The Town Council had big playground dreams, and we were honored to make those dreams a reality!

When designing their playground, we wanted to ensure ample playability opportunities for children of all ages. Town Council wanted components that would entice older children to the playground and excite them!

Lion’s Community Park boasts the following play opportunities:

ACTIVE & PHYSICAL PLAY

The playground was intentionally designed to limit the number of structures within one specific area. This allows children to move freely between open-concept areas to the multiple movement opportunities on the playground equipment. The park also boasts

SOCIAL PLAY

Our design provides gathering spaces for small or large groups that promote collaboration, group play, and independence.

IMAGINATIVE PLAY

The playground provides children the opportunity to climb, jump, swirl, hide in a nook, slide, or utilize the existing environment to roll down the inclined hill, leap and bound throughout the vast play areas, and create using interactive panels, to name a few. This offers an unlimited number of scenarios and settings for children to invent, collaborate, and act within.

ACCESSIBLE PLAY

Town Council wanted to ensure that every resident could participate in the joy of playing at the new playground. Incorporating rubber pour-in-place surfacing within the entrance of the park allows users experiencing mobility issues, sensory processing disorders, depth perception, and more,
to approach and navigate the accessible play components safely and independently. Interactive and inclusive play panels, an accessible Biggo Spia multi-user swing, and a fully accessible carriage swing are a few of the features that allow everyone to enjoy the park.

From concept to reality – Thank you for choosing Northland!
